Job Summary
Optimum delivers a full suite of connectivity products — Internet, TV, Phone, and Mobile — seamlessly connecting residential and business customers at home, at work, and on the go. As a Product Manager in the Self-Service Product Management team, you will be defining the product P&L, experience, and roadmap for your responsible product. This includes the ROI of the product, definition of the features and customer experience, prioritizing and making trade-offs, driving full development lifecycles and working collaboratively with a fast paced cross functional team and ensuring we deliver usable and valuable product experience to our customers.
Responsibilities
• Be the ambassador and SME of your product, promote visibility and value of your product across the company
• Own the product strategy and lifecycle execution for your product
• Manage self service portfolio products including telecom equipment self installation, identity access and management, service and account management.
• Make value driven decisions and data driven tradeoffs to bring your product experience to the next level
• Define and monitor key metrics and user feedback to evaluate product success
• Deliver product launch with high quality, on time and on budget.
• Write business & product requirements, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
• Manage product backlog including prioritization and scope for development sprint and release planning
• Work with cross functional teams to design, develop, and market the product to ensure successful delivery
• Prepare product and systems demos to key stakeholders
• Provide subject matter expertise on your product at a granular level to the development teams and to a higher level of the entire organization.
• Manage vendor relationships as needed
• Be very detailed oriented but also able to summarize simply and concisely.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required, MBA or relevant master’s degree a plus
- 8+ years of product management, customer experience (CX) or product development
- Seasoned knowledge in telecom industry including broadband, video, and mobile technologies is preferred
- Strong analytical, data interpretation, problem solving and time management skill
- Well versed in digital self-service functions such as customer onboarding, equipment self installation, authentication/access management, service management, account management and offer management, with prior experience in native mobile apps and websites
- Experience with popular identity platforms such as okta, ping is a plus
- Broad fluency across product management, business development, software and hardware engineering, UX/UI, sales and Marketing
- Demonstrated proficiency in agile framework and PO responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate communications both technical and non-technical, across functional teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives and work cross-functionally and across all levels of the organization
- Exceptional interpersonal/people skills including verbal and written communications skills, including listening and presentation skills
- Experience with creating thorough project plans and experience with playbooks and repeatable executional plans
- Experience with Excel, Visio, Jira, Confluence documentational tools

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in New York is $123,379.00 - $202,694.00 / year. For other locations, please inquire with your recruiter. The rates/ranges provided herein are the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and do not reflect future job opportunity.
