Job Summary
The Sales Communications Specialist supports the development and execution of sales communications for the Business-to-Consumer (B2C) sales organization. As a key member of the team, the Specialist will partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, and other cross-functional teams to create clear, engaging, and actionable communications that help frontline sales teams understand and effectively execute against business priorities, products, offers, and initiatives.
This role is ideal for a highly organized and creative communicator who can translate complex information into simple, engaging content while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of sales communications that drive awareness, engagement, and frontline execution.
- Participate in communication planning and governance, including prioritization, audience identification, channel customization, and communication method selection.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, and other cross-functional teams to align communications with business objectives, campaigns, launches, and frontline needs.
- Create clear and compelling sales content, including emails, articles, presentations, job aids, sales collateral, product messaging, news blasts, and other communication materials.
- Translate marketing briefs, product information, and technical content into frontline-friendly, easily digestible communications aligned with organizational brand voice and communication standards.
- Coordinate the development, review, approval, and distribution of sales communications across multiple channels and audiences.
- Customize communications and content based on the needs of different sales channels and frontline audiences.
- Maintain communication calendars, project timelines, content repositories, and other tools used to support communication execution.
- Track communication performance and engagement using available data, analytics, KPIs, and frontline feedback.
- Identify opportunities to improve communication effectiveness, engagement, and overall frontline experience.
- Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- Research competitive trends, industry practices, and communication approaches that may improve sales communication effectiveness.
- Support continuous improvement efforts designed to simplify processes, improve content quality, and increase communication effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in sales, communications, marketing, sales enablement, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and engaging content.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams and functions.
- Proficient computer and technical skills with the ability to quickly learn new platforms and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- Basic understanding of data and analytics with the ability to use insights and feedback to improve communications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting B2C sales or frontline sales organizations.
- Experience developing sales communications, enablement materials, or frontline content.
- Video production and/or editing experience.
- Graphic design or visual media experience.
- Experience with email communication platforms, content management systems, or digital communication tools.
- Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
- Ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- Strong creative thinking and storytelling skills.
- Ability to work independently while seeking appropriate guidance and direction.
