Job Summary
Become a driving force in the transformation of video content analytics and join Optimum to help craft the next chapter of customer engagement and retention. As Staff Analyst of Finance Analytics, reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, Pricing, and IR Analytics, this role is pivotal in refining and strategizing our financial strategy leveraging data analytics. You'll deep dive into data-driven analytics, uncovering key insights that inform our overall strategy. You'll collaborate with a diverse team of experts, leveraging statistics, analytics, and machine learning capabilities to help understand and predict customer behavior to drive favorable financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct complex data analysis in support of various analytic solutions.
- Capture, develop, and document data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements.
- Be able to quickly provide the business leaders with daily performance drivers from top-line to granular footprints where applicable.
- Integrate data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements.
- Create and produce forecasts, reports, ad hoc requests, dashboards, etc.
- Interpret data, analyze results, and provide insights to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities.
- Develop reports and deliverables for management and communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
- Act as a key partner with business and functional leaders on identifying opportunities and proactively provide key data insights to help them run their business
Identify and define data quality improvements. - Create and maintain report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports, and other end-user information portals or resources.
- Ensure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing quality data audits and analysis.
- Be agile and understand business requirements may be ambiguous and business direction could quickly dictate or change direction causing pivot in normal plans
- Identify opportunities to use data to develop new strategies and improve business performance as the business evolves.
- Utilize knowledge of mathematical modeling and other optimization methods to perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Support and contribute to CIO’s overall vision and strategic roadmap for data and tools
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Advanced Excel skills with experience mining large data sets
- Advanced SQL Experience, GCP-Big Query experience a plus
- Python experience a must, including statistical packages a plus
- Experience using Business Intelligence reporting tools (e.g., Tableau and MicroStrategy) is preferred
Support broader management meetings such as: P&L meetings, Monthly or Quarterly Business Reviews, and other various Leadership meetings with visual or analysis support - Ability to work independently and in a collaborative and dynamic team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
Ability to quickly identify business problems and opportunities. - Be solution oriented and ideate, own, and manage out of the box data solutions that could be leveraged for future business strategies and solutions
- Clear and straightforward communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Capability to document, prepare, and present data-driven presentations - Strategic thinking and ability to anticipate future trends, needs, and expectations
- Ability to commute to LIC location when needed

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $123,379.00 - $202,694.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire and does not reflect future job opportunity.
