Job Summary

The Manager's primary responsibilities are the development of financial plans and the reporting of actual results (versus plan). The position also tracks, reports, and analyzes financial and key operating metrics for the assigned business area as well as performs other special projects as needed. The position reports directly to the Sr Director Business Planning and works closely with business leadership. 

The position will also provide the management team with analysis and information on operating metrics and financial performance to aid management decision-making, as well as provide analysis for long-term planning.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop annual operating budgets and monthly forecasts for assigned business area
  • Assist in the preparation of timely, accurate and thorough financial and operating plans
  • Foster effective information flows and communication within Business Planning and with business leadership to facilitate the planning and tracking processes
  • Track and analyze key operating metrics and financial performance to facilitate management team decision making
  • Assist in the management and development of annual capital budget and capital forecasts
  • Prepare material for all meetings
  • Support business leadership by offering financial guidance with emphasis on managing gross margin analysis
  • Prepare monthly operating expense commentary and operating metrics commentary for use in monthly management reports
  • Prepare commentary to budget, forecast and prior year that is part of reports used for quarterly investor reports
  • FCC reporting
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area required
  • 8+ years of finance experience
  • Knowledge of Hyperion Planning/Essbase and Oracle preferred
  • Ability to manage costs established budgets
  • Ability to develop and review ROIs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and act quickly with demonstrable judgment
  • Well-organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities at once and prioritize without jeopardizing deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrated “speed to market” skills, and nimble to change direction
  • Collaborative and team oriented
  • Proficient knowledge, with proven experience of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Programming/Content/Rights exploitation a plus, including interpretation and application of contract terms

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $102,816.00 - $168,912.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
