Job Summary
This Vice President, Finance position is the finance leader for our Optimum Business division and, in partnership with the President of News, Programming, and Business Services and the SVP Finance, provides financial and strategic direction and oversight of the business.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for FP&A for Optimum’s B2B division, actively partnering with senior leaders and business planning teams to set, monitor, and deliver on operating performance.
- Lead all aspects of developing and executing B2B strategy, budgets, forecasts and long-range plans with particular emphasis on revenue growth and profitability, subscriber growth and metrics, sales channel execution, marketing plans, new customer and base offer management, large deal evaluation, and product growth and development.
- Ensure B2B organizations have processes in place to regularly assess budget and performance, providing clear actions and communication to senior business leadership on established financial and operational indicators and performance against them.
- Identify and monitor business trends and variances related to plan; provide information and insights related to monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA preferred
- 12+ years of operationally focused financial management experience, including experience in a Finance leadership role
- B2B strategy and planning experience required, with experience in the telecommunications space strongly preferred
- Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, and extensive experience with financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and data analysis
- Deep understanding of telecom revenue models (recurring services, contracts, usage-based pricing)
- Proven ability to collaborate with and build effective business partnerships at senior levels of the organization
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to establish key operational metrics, summarize and interpret results, and develop strategic, actionable recommendations for leadership decision making

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $178,500.00 - $255,000.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
