Job Summary

Optimum is seeking a highly strategic analytics leader with strong executive presence to build, scale, and communicate the analytical foundation that fuels monetization strategy across Optimum’s product ecosystem (Broadband, Mobile, Video, and Value Added Services).
In this senior individual contributor role, you will be responsible not only for architecting robust reporting systems and advanced customer/revenue analytics, but also for translating insights into compelling narratives that inform senior leadership decisions. You will craft executive ready stories from complex data, align cross functional stakeholders, and shape the strategic direction of monetization initiatives at the highest levels of the organization.
You will partner closely with IT, Data Engineering, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Marketing, Product, Business Planning, Billing, and Consumer Experience to ensure the business has trusted insights and persuasive storytelling that guide revenue, pricing, and customer experience decisions.

Responsibilities

Build & Scale a Persistent Monetization Reporting Architecture
•    Architect and operationalize the Product Monetization reporting ecosystem—including governed data models, KPI definitions, semantic layers, and data quality processes—to ensure a unified “single source of truth” for leadership decision making.
•    Partner with Data & Analytics, Finance, IT, and Data Engineering to model, maintain, and govern mission critical datasets.
•    Develop BigQuery based data structures and semantic models that support fast, scalable, and leadership aligned reporting.
Deliver Executive Ready Insights Through Storytelling
•    Build Tableau dashboards and narrative led presentations designed specifically for executive audiences (C Suite, ELT, SLT), simplifying complex topics into strategic, digestible stories.
•    Use storytelling frameworks—such as situation complication resolution, narrative arcs, and insight led sequencing—to distill large datasets into clear, actionable recommendations.
•    Craft compelling “so what” and “now what” moments for senior leadership, enabling better understanding of business performance, risks, and opportunities.
•    Drive adoption of self serve analytics through education, evangelism, and executive aligned communication.
Lead Customer, Growth & Revenue Analytics
•    Analyze customer lifecycle behavior, churn drivers, segmentation dynamics, distressed customer patterns, and attach trends to uncover levers that drive monetization.
•    Develop narratives that connect analytical outcomes to financial and operational impact, ensuring leadership sees the strategic implications behind each insight.
•    Provide analytical support for pricing strategy, promotions, product adoption, revenue optimization, and retention initiatives—framed with clear executive storytelling.
•    Deliver recurring category performance readouts with executive level synthesis and recommendations.
Cross Functional Leadership & Data Product Ownership
•    Champion the data product roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic business priorities and monetization goals.
•    Collaborate with Data Science on modeling, forecasting, and statistical insights, integrating results into senior leadership presentations with strategic clarity.
•    Serve as the subject matter expert for monetization reporting, data strategy, and customer analytics, providing direction and narrative consistency across teams.
Analytical Rigor & Operational Excellence
•    Conduct high rigor analytics using SQL, BigQuery, Tableau, Excel, and related tools, ensuring accuracy, credibility, and leadership quality output.
•    Identify data discrepancies and quality issues; implement processes that improve data trustworthiness and reduce friction in executive reporting.
•    Balance multiple long term strategic priorities and rapid turnaround executive requests while delivering polished, leadership ready insights.

Qualifications

Required
•    7–10+ years in analytics, BI, data product ownership, or customer/revenue analytics.
•    A bachelors degree in related field.
•    Expert proficiency in:
o    SQL
o    BigQuery
o    Tableau
o    Excel
•    Demonstrated excellence in executive communication and storytelling via PowerPoint—able to translate analytics into clear narratives, strategic implications, and recommended actions.
•    Proven ability to interpret large, complex datasets and turn them into concise, strategic insights for senior audiences.
•    Experience driving cross functional alignment and influencing without authority.
•    Strong business and financial acumen with leadership level polish.
Preferred
•    Broadband/video/telecom/mobile industry experience.
•    Python or R proficiency.
•    Experience designing metric catalogs, semantic layers, or governed data frameworks.
•    Background in pricing, lifecycle, churn, or revenue growth analytics.
